Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) – PML-N
Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), commonly known as PML-N, is one of Pakistan’s major mainstream political parties. It was formally established in 1993 under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, emerging as a center-right political force with a strong emphasis on economic development, infrastructure growth, and democratic governance.
PML-N advocates for market-oriented economic policies, industrial expansion, energy sector development, and improved public service delivery. The party has traditionally focused on large-scale infrastructure projects, including motorways, power generation, and urban development, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s economy and institutional capacity.
With a strong voter base in Punjab, Pakistan’s most populous province, PML-N has formed the federal government multiple times and played a central role in shaping Pakistan’s political and economic landscape. The party supports constitutionalism, civilian supremacy, and continuity of democratic processes, and remains a key stakeholder in national politics.
